The Contact Sheet

Sometimes it's hard to get up. Some days the walk to the studio seems too long or too cold. There's never enough lotion to rejunivinate your hands and it seems like maybe the lights power themselves by sapping the remaining energy from you. Sometimes you dread your model walking in because every idea and composition seems foolish. The model gets undressed and you worry you have asked too much from them. Then the overhead lights go off and you lift the camera to your face. The flash goes off like a thousand synapses. The shutter clicks, and it all makes sense.

This collection is not a single cohesive body of work but rather a gallery of independent images consisting of all 35mm black and white prints with underlying themes which tend to be prevalent within my work as a whole.
